Erasmus James To Be Ready For Camp

On the heels of the Adrian Peterson won’t need surgery report, more good health-related news for the Vikes – DE Erasmus James, who missed most of last season with a knee injury, is expected to be ready for camp.

“Erasmus has made great progress over the course of the last two months,” reports team doctor Eric Sugarman. “He’s running in the pool. He’s doing everything we ask, and showing every indication that he’ll be out there for training camp when we go to Mankato. That’s our goal.”

He’s running in the pool? Call me weird, but don’t you normally swim in pools?

Seriously though, this is great news on Erasmus. He really was a pass-rushing beast at Wisconsin, and if he could ever just put in a full, healthy season, he might become a double-digit sack-man, something this team sorely needs. Of course, there’s one thing Erasmus does have to curb – his habit of cracking people out-of-bounds. Somebody needs to sit Big E down and explain to him that the white line is where you stop.
