Vikings Say No Thanks To Supplemental Draft Prospects
The Minnesota Vikings were reportedly interested in three prospects eligible for this year’s supplemental draft, but in the end took a pass on all of them.
One potential Viking target, OT Jared Gaither, was taken in the fifth round by Baltimore, while San Diego used a fourth-round pick to select CB Paul Oliver, another player the Vikes were reportedly interested in. The third guy on the Vikes’ radar, OT Chris Patrick, went undrafted, meaning he is now a free-agent eligible to negotiate with any team.
Gaither and Oliver were the only players taken in the draft, which was conducted via computer from the secret NFL batcave deep under New York City.
