Robison Inked; Peterson Holding Out?
The Vikings have signed the fifth of their eight 2007 draft picks, fourth-round selection Brian Robison, a DE out of Texas who’s described as having “a knack for blocking kicks.” They also officially brought WR Aundrae Allison into the fold, though everyone already knew about that one.
It is my duty to now mention that Sidney Rice, Marcus McCauley and Adrian Peterson are the three remaining unsigned draft picks. And speaking of Peterson…ProFootballTalk reports today that Peterson’s agent, Ben Dogra, is not going to be in any hurry to get his client signed, but will wait to see what the players drafted right after AP get before proceeding. In other words, don’t expect Peterson to be there when camp opens. Hopefully, if there is a hold-out, it will not be a protracted, Cedric Benson-like one.
