Week 2 Power Rankings

We’ve had one week to look at teams and make our adjustments.  Here are the Viking Age official power rankings for week 2.

  1. Indianapolis Colts
  2. San Diego Chargers
  3. New England Patriots
  4. Denver Broncos
  5. Dallas Cowboys
  6. Cincinnati Bengals
  7. Chicago Bears
  8. Seattle Seahawks
  9. Philadelphia Eagles
  10. Pittsburgh Steelers
  11. Baltimore Ravens
  12. Carolina Panthers
  13. New Orleans Saints
  14. Tennessee Titans
  15. Minnesota Vikings
  16. St. Louis Rams
  17. Jacksonville Jaguars
  18. Detroit Lions
  19. Green Bay Packers
  20. New York Giants
  21. New York Jets
  22. Washington Redskins
  23. San Francisco 49ers
  24. Kansas City Chiefs
  25. Houston Texans
  26. Miami Dolphins
  27. Oakland Raiders
  28. Arizona Cardinals
  29. Buffalo Bills
  30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  31. Atlanta Falcons
  32. Cleveland Browns

The top two remain the same.  New England jumps one, in spite of being cheaters, knocking Denver down to four.  Dallas now becomes the highest-ranked NFC team at 5, not so much because they won, but because the Bears and Eagles both looked so mediocre.  Seattle also vaults up and may in fact be the best team in the conference again.  The Steelers peek into the top 10 while the Ravens tumble out (injuries already piling up, QB’s turning the ball over – they could be done).  The Vikings get the push from 19 up to 15.  The Packers and Lions also leap into the top 20.  The Giants and Jets both drop like rocks.  The Falcons and Browns remain bottom-feeders.

Ballhype: hype it up!
