Halftime Lightning Round

1.  Tarvaris Jackson is not a good quarterback.  He misses too many receivers.  He makes bad reads.  He has little sense of when to scramble and when to stay in the pocket.

2.  Adrian Peterson’s numbers might not be spectacular, but he’s showing again why he is a superstar in the making.  The broken tackle on his nice catch-and-run to set up the TD was SICK.

3.  Mike Martz has pretty much always torn up our pass D and today’s no exception.  Detroit should really be up by a lot more than 3.  Kitna killed them twice, then they killed themselves with lame red-zone play-calling.  J.T. O’Sullivan looks like Brett Favre against us.

4.  I’m not seeing Brian Robison in the game enough.  I’m also not seeing as many aggressive blitzes.  E.J. Henderson has pulled his disappearing act again.

5.  Detroit can’t run the ball on us.  So what?  They throw it all over.  We’d better tighten up, and get some pressure on whoever QBs for Detroit, or we will lose.

Bonus.  Cedric Griffin either makes a great play or kills you with a bonehead move.  There’s no in between.  He’s got five tackles at the half.
