Not To Beat Up On Tarvaris Jackson, But…

AUTHOR: danzinski | IN: Vikings | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

…here are the stats compiled yesterday by quarterbacks the Vikings could’ve realistically at least tried to acquire in the last two off-seasons (but didn’t because they were happy with Brad Johnson, Tarvaris Jackson, et al.):

  • Jeff Garcia  10/16  243 yards  2 TD  0 INT (Win)
  • Drew Brees  24/44  260 yards  1 TD  1 INT (Loss)
  • Matt Schaub  20/28  227 yards  2 TD  0 INT (Win)
  • Jon Kitna  22/33  245 yards  1 TD  1 INT (Win)
  • Jay Cutler  23/33  269 yards  1 TD  2 INT (Win)
  • Kellen Clemens  19/37  260 yards  1 TD  2 INT (Loss)

I think we’d all take any of those guys over Jackson.

boy,i get tired of people blaming brad johnson for childresses poor play calling, receivers who can't catch,an offensive line that was truly offensive at times,a pass defense that ,after chester taylor fumbled the ball away (one of many)made a slouch like rex grossman look like joe montana, losing that game for us.i'm not saying he was perfect ,but this team (still)has more glaring problems than brad johnson caused.he's a class guy,a great qb that deserves our respect and thanks !akviking
