Halftime Lightning Round

Kelly Holcomb, unshockingly, got the start. He definitely looks more sure of himself than Tarvaris. Of course it doesn’t hurt that Adrian Peterson is running all over the place. AD does need to learn to hold onto the ball better though – Jared Allen stripped him and basically gave KC a FG (though KC almost gave it away with penalties and sucky Kyle Turley blocking).

Jared Allen, it’s safe to say, is a beast.

The option pass by Mewelde Moore that Visanthe Shiancoe appeared to catch but the ref ruled it incomplete – there will be much whining about this play, but honestly, the ref was standing right there, and the only camera angle was from behind Shiancoe. Visanthe seemed to think he got robbed, and that one angle seemed to show he did – but again, the ref was standing right there, and had a better look at the ball than what the camera showed us. At any rate that play should’ve worked – maybe we should’ve had Bobby Wade make the throw instead of Mewelde like when we ran that thing in preseason.

The Chiefs offense is inept. The best sign of this is that they’ve been unable to use Tony Gonzalez much. There were two balls to him, including one that should’ve been a TD, that were thrown high by Huard. Gonzalez is the kind of player who normally tears us up.

Larry Johnson’s performance has been uninspiring.

Antoine Winfield has made some great plays. When he slid under Turley to make a play on Michael Bennett (who still sucks), and the TD-saving tackle he made on Eddie Drummond on the kick-off.

Ballhype: hype it up!
