You Know the Best Thing About the Bye Week?
We can’t lose!
We can still speculate on Mewelde Moore being traded though. There’s nothing new concrete to report – however, Bucs RB Michael Pittman did get injured today, leaving Tampa presumably even more desperate to add a back. We may yet snooker those guys into giving up a first-day pick for Mewelde – which we can then waste on another receiver with bad hands, or perhaps a corner who can’t tackle.

Aside from Mewelde trade rumors ( a late #2 would be great a #3 OK) I have finally see the fans wake up to the fact that Cook is a big, slow waste of time. Ayoung man named Sam Lightbody, with Minnesota roots, ust missed making the Bucs under stiffer competition at Rt. Tackle. He is still in great shape trying out for international discus throw. 6-9 325 and has agility Cook will never have. Sure, he’ll need a little time but his outside blocking ability would give our QB’s more time than cement feet Cook. My gosh, they were thinking of making him our center!Get on the phone and get lLightbody infor a tryout. We certainly have nothing to lose.PS Get the best available QB in free agency. I hate to see our D get old by the time the young Childress projecton offense
October 8th, 2007 at 4:42 pmI’m with you on the QB thing. How horrible would it be to have a playoff caliber D and running game and be held back because your coach stubbornly refuses to recognize that his project QB doesn’t have it? Hopefully Childress wakes up soon.
