Tampa Gets Their Running Back…

…and it ain’t Mewelde Moore.  Instead it’s ex-Viking Michael Bennett, who apparently got squeezed out in Kansas City by the imminent return of Priest Holmes.  Terms of the trade have not been disclosed yet, but I’ll be curious to see if the Bucs were able to get Bennett for less than the first-day pick the Vikings were reportedly asking in exchange for Mewelde.

The Vikes’ plans to trade Mewelde may have changed Sunday when third-string running back Naufahu Tahi got injured.  I still wouldn’t mind having the team figure some way of working Mewelde into the offense – he can be devastating on screens and plays like that.  However, with AD and Chester the Chair Man getting so much action, it’s probably just an SOL situation for Moore.
