No Daunte?

Daunte Culpepper will return to the Metrodome as a member of the Oakland Raiders on November 18th – but likely not as the starting QB.

Josh McCown, who had been nursing a broken toe, will be back behind center for Oakland this week against Houston – and barring anything unforeseen happening to Mr. McCown, he will still be the starter when the Raiders make their visit to Minneapolis.

Daunte claims he’s not disappointed about being benched in favor of McCown.  Quoth Lord Littlehands:

Coach [Lane Kiffin] said he don’t feel anybody should lose their job to injury. That’s his decision. Like I said from the first day I got here, when I’m called, I’ll be ready. Whenever, however, our goal is to try and get this team better, and that’s what I’m willing to do.

That’s just what Gandhi would’ve said.
