No Troy Williamson

Troy Williamson has family issues (not as bad as Andy Reid’s, but still) and is going to miss Sunday’s game against San Diego.  This probably won’t hurt the team much – he’s only caught 9 balls the whole year, and didn’t have a single catch last week against Philly.

Somewhat more troubling is the fact that Bobby Wade may also miss the game with a bum knee.  Wade is currently the team’s leading receiver with 23 catches for 272 yards.  The only potential upside of this sudden thinning of the already thin receiver corps is that it will force Sydney Rice, who I really think could be a good player, into a more prominent role.  Hopefully T-Jack and Rice will be able to work up a little chemistry.

Last I looked, Antonio Gates had not suffered the injury I asked God to give him – so he’ll be in there.  Look for the tight end to post a career day against our pitiful secondary.
