Antoine Winfield is currently doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Chargers. He sat out of practice yesterday after seeing limited action Wednesday, and the best Brad Childress could find to say about him was that “he is mobile,” which could also be said about me (and I can’t cover anybody).
Viking defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said of the prospect of missing Winfield:
He’s playing at a very high level. As tough as it’s been these first seven games, it would be a lot tougher if he weren’t out there.
Uh-oh – Leslie just broke the Brad Childress rule by being straightforward and honest. That’s gotta earn him some kind of demerit if not an out-right punishment.
In other news…it looks like Tarvaris Jackson is still going to start. Winfield out, Jackson in. Chargers 38, Vikings 6.
