Halftime Lightning Round

I’ve come to the conclusion that Brad Childress is just snake-bit.  He tries to play it aggressive at the end of the half, and manages to get the team in position for a long field goal.  And what happens?  Cromartie catches the short kick Hester-fashion and runs it back 109 for the TD. Even when Chilly tries to do something good, it blows up in his face.

Chilly will not do what any decent coach would do at this point – completely blow up at halftime.  Throw furniture.  Threaten guys’ lives.

Kelly Holcomb gets hurt last week; today Tarvaris Jackson gets hurt. Conclusion – God wants Brooks Bollinger to play QB.

Bollinger is fittingly sacked on his first play in the game.

The pass D is having a really good game.  Cedric Griffin and Dwight Smith have managed to knock down passes (something our DBs never do) and the pass-rush is all over Philip Rivers (who looks decidedly T-Jack-like at this point).  However – the Chargers would’ve had a lot more yards were it not for Rivers missing a wide-open Chris Chambers and Vincent Jackson being unjustly called for pass interference.  So let’s not consider the pass-D situation fixed quite yet.

Mewelde Moore isn’t doing much on punt returns, but he still looks more sure of himself back there than Bobby Wade.

I believe Adrian‘s gonna break one in the second half.

E.J. Henderson has an outside shot at the Pro Bowl.
