Darren Sharper said Chilly needs to let his playmakers be playmakers. Darren had a chance to be a playmaker against the Raiders, and let the interception go right through his hands to Ronald Curry for a huge gain. So how about it Darren?
3 fumbles and a pick in the first half. The pick was just a dumb throw by Tarvaris, lobbing it when he needed to zip it. Bobby Wade didn’t need to fumble the one he did. Chester Taylor‘s fumble was the offensive line’s fault for not blocking Warren Sapp. Tarvaris Jackson’s fumble was just T-Jack being T-Jack.
How about that crazy Brad Childress whipping out the trickeration on the first play of the game? Sidney Rice has a heck of an arm. Visanthe Shiancoe can’t run though.
Chester Taylor has looked really good. Better than AD in the passing-game.
The playcalling has been more varied in this game than any other I can remember this year. Screens, swings, play-action, roll-outs. So where has that been all season?
Daunte is now a big slow doofus who can’t break the pocket. He can still make the throws though. Unfortunately, the Raider receivers often are not able to catch them. I honestly think that, on a team with good ball-catchers, Daunte could still be a very solid pocket-passer sort of QB.
Nice to see Charles Gordon in at kick returner instead of Troy Williamson. It should be obvious to everyone by now that Williamson is only capable of running fast in a straight line and has no vision or moves whatsoever.
