I'm still not sure what to think of Childress these days. It seems he was meant for the Vikes at times, because he is so completely inconsistent. Other times, he functions brilliantly (as in the case of today, for example). The key thing to Childress today was his lack of bonehead calls and challenges. Sending Rice deep on the 2nd play of the game (or at least not calling a run in 2nd down) gave us a glimpse of what Childress has been hyped up as - some offensive guru. It's something that we haven't seen much of this season - today we did. Also, I have to give the Vikes as a team credit for almost completely erasing their penalty problems that have plagued the team for years. It's nice to see flags go for their opponents again and again. Good job!
