Halftime Lightning Round

The second half against the Giants and the first half against Detroit were the best 60 minutes of football the Vikings have put together in years.  Everything’s clicking.  Especially the young guys – Tarvaris, Adrian, Aundrae Allison, Sidney RiceChildress looks like a draft genius at this point.

On Adrian…I think he does look a tiny bit slowed down by the brace.  I don’t think he’s hitting holes with quite his usual freight-train speed.  That being said – he has 80 yards and a TD at the half.  So who’s complaining.

Tarvaris looks in control of the offense.  You wait for him to make a big mistake and he doesn’t make it.

Roy Williams being hurt is huge for Detroit.  He looks like their only real offensive weapon right now.  Calvin Johnson is nowhere to be found.

Chilly’s gotta get some heat for not using Allison as the kick returner all year.  I mean, anyone can see that Troy Williamson has no moves with the ball.

We seem to have finally found the right mix between Adrian and Chester.  And it’s nice to see them getting passes thrown to them (even if that one screen to Chester blew up).

Even the defensive ends are making plays.  That’s when you know things are going right.

I started Chester and AP on my fantasy team this week and I am a rather happy man!

I’m a new fan and thrilled to see this stellar performance.  Playoffs anyone?

Yeah, Adrian really looked bothered by that bad knee.  Uh…not.

I bet Detroit wishes they would have selected him over Calvin Johnson. Gotta love having Matt Millen in the division.

To be fair to Williamson, Allison’s return TD came after DET lined up in such a way as to suggest an onside kick.  Returns are easier when the opposition is playing around like that.
