Edwards Suspended for Steroids

The NFL has suspended Viking DE Ray Edwards for four games for violating the steroid policy, the team announced today. Brad Childress had little to say about the situation when asked:

I can’t comment on it. It’s under the substance policy, it’s pretty self- explanatory.

The Vikings have lots of options at DE, including Erasmus James and Jayme Mitchell. As for Edwards being on steroids…this does not come as a shock to anyone who remembers the fight he had with the Chiefs in training camp. Now we understand why he’s such a surly bastard.

I don’t think he’s the only jacked up steriod user on the Vikings. Could this be the kiss of death for a Viking playoff run?
