Winfield, P-Will, Rice Status

AUTHOR: | IN: Vikings | COMMENTS: 5 Comments |

Pat Williams has missed practice all week with a bum elbow and knee but the big man says he’ll be good to go Sunday against the Broncos.  Ditto Sidney Rice, who’s missed the last couple of games with a high ankle sprain but did manage to practice this week.

Then there’s Antoine Winfield, who’s still nursing a strained left pectoral muscle.  The Vikes’ #1 corner said of his status for Sunday:

If I can’t protect myself, there’s no need [to risk playing]. No need.

Doesn’t sound to me like Antoine will be taking the field anytime soon.  One has to wonder if he will ever suit up again for the Vikes, considering the way some stuff went down this year.  He’s a good player but frankly the team could use more of a traditional cover corner, maybe someone like Asante Samuel.

Stumbled on your site quite by accident, I'm glad I did. I'm always on the lookout for a new football resource and your site really fit the bill :)

thanks,
Denise

Well that's reassuring thelandryhat because just about every Viking hates Childress.

McNabb hates Childress.  Just something I heard.

Wow, the Vikes ar a hot topic on Sirius. Again, today it was discussed how no one likes Tavaris and now Donovan McNabb is being eyed for a trade option? Holy. Get your rumors under control Vikes. Pennington was mentioned again, too.
