Adrian Peterson Wins Pro Bowl MVP

adriantrophy (AP)

Adrian Peterson did the Vikings proud by taking MVP honors at the Pro Bowl.  The rookie sensation rushed for 129 yards and 2 TDs (against guys who weren’t really trying hard, but still) in leading the NFC to victory.

Does this do anything to quiet our anxiety about AD after the way he finished off the regular season?  His knee looked okay (in the few bits I saw; no way I was gonna actually sit there and watch the whole stupid Pro Bowl).  It was cool seeing him celebrate with Tony Richardson after one of the TDs, and also with Matt Birk.  Lots of Vikings out there.  Reminded me of the old days when they’d always have 6 or 7 Pro Bowlers.

It was great to get to see a little more AD before the long, long off-season.  Sigh.  Guess I’ll just have to watch baseball.  Or, you know, go outside.

Ballhype: hype it up!

AP is awesome, but it pissed me off that they gave him so many carries, and Westbrook gets one. Think Mike McCarthy was hoping AP gets injured?
