Kelly Holcomb will not be back with the Vikings next year. Today the team released the veteran, upon whom they spent a sixth-round pick late in camp last year. Holcomb played in three games before succumbing to a neck injury. The Vikings are believed to be in the market for a dependable veteran back-up QB, but then again, you never know.
In other news…it appears fullback Tony Richardson will not be back with the team either. Richardson was signed as a free-agent two years ago, and has been hurt a lot. He played enough this year to be rewarded with a trip to the Pro Bowl.
