Monday Former Viking Update: Moss Signs With Pats; Mewelde Moore Inks With Steelers

Randy Moss did the predictable and agreed to a new three-year contract with the Patriots worth $27 million. Who knows how much Randy flirted with other teams before deciding to stay with New England. How much does a guy who’s dating a model flirt with less attractive women at bars? Some people just need to feel wanted I guess.

And who knows how serious Randy and Daunte Culpepper ever were about their reunion plan. Maybe Randy made it a condition of his signing that the Patriots had to get Culpepper as Tom Brady’s back-up. Daunte doesn’t seem that inspired to play, so maybe he’d like to cheese his way into a ring by holding a clipboard for a year or two?

Meanwhile, Mewelde Moore landed on his feet in Pittsburgh, signing a three-year deal. He’ll make a nice complement to Willie Parker, assuming Mike Tomlin doesn’t take exception to his body language and not let him in the game.
