Monday Update: Antwan Odom Visiting, Mewelde Moore to Pittsburgh

Two items on the Monday morning docket.  First…the Vikings will reportedly have Tennessee defensive end Antwan Odom in for a visit.  Odom had 8 sacks last season for the Titans, a number that would’ve easily led the Vikings (three guys tied with 5).  The Purple are not Odom’s only suitors – he’s already visited Cincinnati, and is currently in Arizona.  There’s a chance his Winter Park visit will never come.

Number two…Mewelde Moore visited the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday and is expected to sign with them.  The Steelers still have a little money left over after signing Ben Roethlisberger to a $102 million contract.  Emphasis on “a little.”

Ballhype: hype it up!

    Any thoughts on landing Carr?

Carr seems like another David Klingler or Ryan Leaf at this point.  Plus Chilly already said he hates Carr’s mechanics.

Carr would prob. be a good (and fairly cheap) veteran back up for T-Jack.

Wow you are one shitty Vikings fan, did you even watch the games?  Let me guess you probably saw him make like 2 bad throws against the Redskins and decide to doom the rest of his career when the kid has only started like 12 games and going 8-3 last year.  I thought he did fairly well givin the recievers he had, we finally cut Troy Williamson and signed a potential pro bowler Bernard Berrian, if Jackson doesn’t show us atleast 17 touchdowns and a low turnover margin then yes, maybe he’s not the guy, but from the ability he has and the poise he has shown late in games makes it worth giving this guy a shot.
