Brett Favre Retires
Wow – Brett Favre just announced his retirement from the Packers.
I don’t really know what to think. On the one hand, I know I should be happy – this is the guy who’s tormented my very existence for almost two decades, and now he’s finally gone. On the other hand, I can’t help experiencing a certain emptiness. I feel like America after the Cold War ended. Who will I have to hate now?
Oh right…Jon Kitna.
I’m okay with it then. Brett Favre retiring. Not having to listen to the endless rapturous praise. And the retirement talk…my God, no more retirement talk.
And of course, for the Vikings, this presumably means a better shot at winning the division. Unless Aaron Rodgers turns out to be good. Which he might.
Then again, Rodgers might stink, and the Packers might go south. And we know neither the Lions or Bears are going to be any good.
Hot damn…we could go 8-8 and win this thing!
Sign up Jevon Kearse baby. Let’s roll. No more Favre!
