While other teams mourn the loss of their old, washed-up players, the Vikings press on with the business of building their roster. Today they added former 49ers RB Maurice Hicks who will primarily serve as a kick returner, but has also reportedly been given assurances by Vikings brass that he’ll see some time in the offense.
Given that we already have Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor, it’s hard to imagine Hicks getting many snaps. But, that’s what Brad Childress and the boys told him, and he bought it, so he’s ours now. At least we won’t have to wonder who’s going to return kicks.
