Larry Fitzgerald Extended By Cardinals

Posted by: danzinski

The remote possibility that Larry Fitzgerald might get traded to the Vikings in the next couple of years became an impossibility with today’s news that the Cardinals have signed him to a 4-year/$40 million extension.

A long, difficult negotiation between Fitzgerald and the team led to all sorts of rumors, some of which centered on the Vikings, the team Fitzgerald was once a ball-boy for.

Ball-boy loyalty means nothing in the face of $40 million smackers, $30 million of which will be guaranteed.  Unfortunately for Arizona, it took them so long to get Fitzgerald signed that they missed out on all the big free agents.  But Larry got his, so what’s he care?
