Update: Chiefs Agree to Trade Jared Allen to Vikings
The Chiefs will trade Jared Allen to the Vikings for our first round pick and both our third round picks in this weekend’s draft. Allen has flown to Minnesota, presumably to ink his contract and do the press conference jive. It’s a risky move obviously, but you know what they say….no guts, no glory.
Update: The Money.
Jay Glazer says the Vikings will pay Jared Allen $74 million over six years with $31 million in guaranteed money. That’s just a smidge more than what the Colts gave Dwight Freeney. Of course, Allen is better than Freeney at this point, and therefore deserves more money. It’s also being reported that the Vikes and Chiefs will swap sixth-round picks this year as part of the deal.
I guess this means we won’t be getting Derrick Harvey. Aw darn!

CHECK IT….. push this….Jarred Allen was a great addition… Now its time to trade that 2nd round pick for Jason Taylor… he still has a couple of years left and with a line THIS stacked….PUSH FOR THIS TRADE.

You wanna give them Edwards and a 5th-maybe but I honestly feel Edwards and Robison can do the job especially with the 3 big guys attracting the attention now. Watch for Robison. Why? HEART -just plain old drive and heart. And where was he picked? #4 the same as Allen was. He may not be an Allen, but he has the heart of a Zack Thomas and loves hounding the QB. I have more faith in Brian at DE than T-jax at QB.VV
