The Pioneer-Press’s Bob Sansevere continues his series of introductory interviews with the new Vikings. Last week it was rookie safety Tyrell Johnson…this week it’s free-agent signee, and also safety, Madieu Williams.
What pertinent information may we glean from Sansevere’s grilling of Williams? He’s a religious guy who likes doing charity work (he’s inspired by his mother who was a nurse). He also digs older women, as we learn when Sansevere asks him to name his favorite actresses:
Actress? I’ve got to go for looks. Who draws me in? Halle Berry, definitely. Beyonce. I’m a huge Catherine Zeta-Jones fan. Gwyneth Paltrow.
No Sophia Loren? Faye Dunaway?
He names the Cuba Gooding, Jr./Robert De Niro vehicle Men of Honor as his favorite film. Points for originality if not taste.
Madieu also admits that he’s not a good singer:
Simon Cowell would say I’m horrible and “What are you doing in this competition?”
He also believes in ghosts, though he admits he’s never seen one. All-in-all, I’d say he’s Chilly’s kind of guy…solid, upstanding and a bit on the dull side. But who cares if he goes out on Sunday and kicks some.
