I am puzzled at what would make anyone think the Bears will be 10-6 in 2008, but why do people think the Lions will be as awful as 3-13?  That's truly horrible, and it seems as excessively pessimistic as the projection for the Bears is optimistic. On the one hand, the Vikings getting no respect is irritating. 

On the other hand, it could be a very good thing for the Vikings to be underrated going into the season.

I'd hate to see us lose to the Jags, especially with the Williamson trade - we just have to win that one for the sake of posterity. The Colts are tough, but I think we might be able to pull out a win.  Maybe Chilly will run a 1930's style single-wing offense and the Colts will be totally caught off guard by it.  Or Jared Allen (or Ray Edwards) will run back a fumble for a TD in the closing minutes of the game. Who knows?? 9-7...no frickin way.
