Robert Griffith Retires a Viking

Former hard-hitting safety Robert Griffith signed a contract with the Vikings Wednesday so he could retire as a member of the Purple.

Griffith earned a special spot in the hearts of Vikings fans by being just about the only decent player on some of Dennis Green‘s horrible defenses.  I once heard John Madden say during a game, “If Robert Griffith doesn’t make the play for the Vikings, it doesn’t get made.”  That about summed it up.

Finally something to write about and not a fan making a comment.
Pound for pound one of the toughest Vikings to ever put on the purple. An overachiever who never thought he was too good to get better,
Dress him for one more game, give him a special tribute and let him play one more play so the fans can show their love.
I also heard that if everyone on a defense would play with his intensity they could count on super bowl ring.
Well done Robet YOU ARE A VIKING FOR LIFE!
