Vikings Inquire About Favre

1250 WSSP, Milwaukee’s Sports Leader has learned that Brett Favre wanted to return to the Packers in March, but was told that he would be Aaron Rodgers’ Backup. As a result, he now wants out. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer has reported Brett Favre has formally asked for his contractual release.
Green and Gold Insider Mike Clemens is reporting the Minnesota Vikings have already inquired about signing Favre, pending his release from the Packers.
Vikings fans seem bitterly divided on the prospect of signing Favre. A lot say no way, he’s the enemy and always will be…I’d rather go 0-16 without him than win the Super Bowl with him. Others say he’s a great QB and if he gives us a chance to win the whole thing then go for it. I say he will end up back with the Packers. Fences will be mended. Relationships patched up. Aaron Rodgers may end up having to be traded, but that’s how it goes.
