In the words of Doc Holliday in the movie Wyatt Earp
"Frankly I am sick and tired of all the talk. I you want a fight get out your gun and start shooting" (paraphrased).
The Vikes don't come out and say we are not interested Brett
The pack doesn't know what to do and Brett is now threatening to go to camp and really make a mess by calling their hand (the gunslinger) and shooting it out. Do the Pack brass say OK theis is a disruption and ruin our camp (which it will) or let him go where Brett fires the final shot by signing with the Vikes wo have not said "not interested" lest they look guilty.
Yes Dave, I wish this would fade. But blood will be shed in that 2 young QB's are in the middle of this screwjob and 2 teams are facing a major distraction as they head into camp. Vikes would be best to tell the Pack brass this is over as far as we're concerned and we both best get on with business.

farve wants to go back to greenbay, this is his way of showing the packer brass that this is my team assholes, not your's. the fans are mine , not yours, the wins came thru me not you, the team needs me to win not you, think about it. noboby is more ego-tistical then brett farve, i've said it for years and now looks like i'm right. he only really cares about brett farve, and not really the packers team itself. he's willing to do whatever it takes to get back to HIMSELF in the game. thats not a team player. everyone is saying look what fareve did for this organization. what's more???? the packers without favree or farver without the packers. the packers will go on, but frarver will eventually fade away like all great players do, so just fade already

A Viking fan wanting Favre to be a part of our organization is like selling out to the devil for a superbowl ring. I bleed purple, and I want nothing to do with Favre (our rival for how many years now!). Granted we have Sharper, but he also hasn't basically been the ring leader for the team we rival for over 2 decades. I don't understand how true Vike fans can want this to win a superbowl. Granted I love my balls but I would totally give one up for the Ring to land in Minn. Just FYI but Favre is too much like giving up your soul!

It's not that the Vikings don't have high hopes for Jackson, but look at it this way... why would we be trying to get Brett Favre? Obviously to INCREASE our chances of winning a superbowl, and why is it so crucial for us to win a superbowl now more than ever? Can you say stadium issues? If Brett takes us to the promise land and wins you can guarantee the Vikings will not be moving away in 2012, and a new stadium deal will be complete by training camp of 2009, so the man behind all this Favre talk is no other than Mr. Ziggy Wilf.

As I and many other people have said before, this will do a lot to distinguish the Packers fans from the Favre fans. And this is just ugly. I feel sorry for everyone involved, especially Rodgers and Jackson. They get knocked for being inexperienced. How the hell are they supposed to get experience if they don't play? No one seems to realize that.
