R.I.P. Chilly’s Goatee
I don’t know what was going on in Brad Childress’s life that made him want to grow a goatee. Maybe it was just a mid-life crisis thing. Some natural old guy final grab at youth or whatever. At any rate, Chilly has decided to shed the goatee, returning to his original moustache. Bad-ass Chilly is gone and Major Dad is back. Or Ned Flanders or whatever moustache-wearing doof you want to throw him in there with. Hopefully the new old Childress will be the offensive whiz we were told he was all along. I don’t think I can take another year of brilliant first drives followed by the most staggeringly dull offensive football this side of Notre Dame (yes, I know we had the most exciting single player in the game in Adrian Peterson, but overall the offense was predictable and boring last year).
