Two Williamses Out

Madieu Williams is a late scratch from tonight’s preseason opener against the Seahawks. The safety, one of the team’s big free agent acquisitions, is suffering from neck spasms and will be replaced by rookie Tyrell Johnson. Good deal for Johnson who is getting rave reviews and will likely replace Darren Sharper when Sharper finally decides to hang it up. What a kick seeing Jared Allen in a Vikings uniform on the Metrodome turf. Now they’re showing video of Chilly flying with the Blue Angels in Duluth. He looks like he’s going to puke…

Pat Williams is also out tonight.  He had his elbow operated on and is still nursing his way along.  Fred Evans got the start.

First drive…Seattle pretty much gashes our new-look defense.  Cedric Griffin had the Seahawks receiver pluck the touchdown pass out of the air right above him.  Some things never change…
