I thought the sight of Brett Favre in a Jets jersey would cause me to weep with joy. But it doesn’t. I think it’s Favre fatigue…I’m unable to feel anything about him anymore. I can’t even enjoy the idea of him being away from the Packers. The thought of all those thousands of suffering Packer fans, some of whom are related to me, should make me happy beyond words but I’m just indifferent now. Maybe the joy will come to me later.
The big deal of Favre’s first day was that he fumbled a snap from the Jets’ center and had to run a punishment lap. The crowd cheered as Brett did his circuit around the field (video proof below). He’s just one of the guys you see. Sure.
