Horn Loose

Posted by: danzinski

Receiver Joe Horn has been released by the Atlanta Falcons, who made him a parting gift of the $2.5 million in guaranteed money left on his contract. Horn lobbied all off-season to get out of Atlanta, a team that is in definite rebuilding mode. The question is whether he has anything left to offer a team that has playoff aspirations. It’s doubtful that the Vikings would even look at him right now – they seem fairly set at receiver despite everyone’s worries about that position – but you never know.

I don’t see any reason why the Vikings would sign Joe Horn. His best days are clearly behind him. He’d only be able to compete for the fourth WR job at best anyway.

He might be a slight upgrade over a guy like Robert Ferguson, though Ferguson appears to be a special teams stud now and his downfield blocking for Adrian is nice.

    Joe Horn is washed up

Horn’s washed up?  So this means the Eagles are interested?
