Judd Zulgad reports on the very fine (and indispensible) Access Vikings blog that Tarvaris Jackson sported an “obvious limp” when he came out to get some work in with the starters ahead of tonight’s preseason game against Dallas (it’s all the work the starters will be getting as none of them will be appearing in the actual game). Jackson did some throwing, and had to have his brace adjusted by trainer Eric Sugarman at one point. What are the odds of Jackson actually playing week 1 against the Packers? Looks like 50/50 right now. Unless he was limping on purpose to throw everyone off. The wily Brad Childress may have ordered Tarvaris to pretend to be more hurt than he is so the Pack won’t know whether to prepare for him or Gus Frerotte. Chilly should throw an extra wrench into the Packers’ plans by telling Frerotte to limp – then they’ll have to prepare for John David Booty or Brooks Bollinger too. And what if those guys also limp? The Packers may just forfeit.
