It didn’t take Brett Favre long to get things cranked up with the Jets. In just his second series, the venerable QB tossed his 443rd career touchdown, a bomb down the left side to Jerricho Cotchery (set up by a brilliant play-action fake). This is only one play of course - there’s still a chance Favre will have a bad season overall and the Jets won’t make the playoffs…
Um, but did the Jets’ chances of winning the AFC East just get a whole lot better? Tom Brady just suffered what looked like a pretty bad knee injury against the Chiefs. The Patriots are done if they lose Brady - absolutely, positively, completely done. And forget about Miami - Chad Pennington is stinking the place up. God am I glad the Vikings didn’t sign him (yes, I realize I advocated for it at the time, but we all make mistakes).
