Moss Wants Culpepper

Football guru Paul Charchian just said on the Vikings pre-game show on KFAN that Randy Moss is lobbying Patriots brass to bring in his old pal and Vikings teammate Daunte Culpepper to replace Tom Brady who will miss the season after surgery to repair a torn ACL.  The first thing I have to ask is:  How much do Bill Belichick and the Pats’ brain-trust really listen to players when it comes to making personnel decisions?  I’m guessing not much.  Even less when the player in question is a known nitwit like Moss.  The Pats have already reportedly brought in Chris Simms and Tim Rattay (Elvis Grbak wasn’t available?) and I’m guessing one of those two guys will be signed as insurance behind Matt Cassel, who, it was also pointed out by Charchian, hasn’t started a game at QB since high school (he got one start at USC as a tight end – maybe the Vikes should go after him).
