Hard feelings continue to linger over this summer’s Favre fiasco and the tampering charges the Packers erroneously brought against the Vikings. This became evident immediately after the Pack’s Monday night victory when Mike McCarthy and Brad Childress failed to meet up for the traditional post-game handshake. McCarthy was shown on camera looking for Chilly but not finding him. McCarthy says he bears no animosity toward Childress and claims the two exchanged phone calls on Tuesday. Whatever. If Childress indeed blew McCarthy off, then I say good for him. The tampering charges were a joke and the Vikings should still be irritated about it. Next time I hope Childress does come out for the handshake, and at the last second, punches McCarthy in the teeth instead. This is assuming Childress still has his job when the two teams play again.
