Jared Allen is out of the league’s substance abuse program after two years without a violation, meaning he is no longer one infraction away from a one-year suspension. “I don’t have to tell them where I travel to anymore,” Allen said. “I’m back to being a normal citizen in the NFL.” A normal citizen who is no longer subject to additional testing. And there’s more good news for the wild-man defensive end – he will soon have his driver’s license reinstated after having it ripped in 2006 over a pair of DUIs. “Nothing else is lingering over my head,” Allen said. “I can just continue to do what I’m doing.” Let’s hope he celebrates this weekend…by squashing Kerry Collins.
