E.J. Out

The official injury report hasn’t been released yet, but when it is, it will almost certainly list E.J. Henderson as out for Monday night’s game in New Orleans.  The Pro Bowl-level linebacker continues to nurse a pair of dislocated toes and was unable to practice at all on Thursday.  “We’re still trying to get the swelling down in that thing,” Brad Childress explained. “It’s hard making all the evaluations you need to make until the swelling comes down where you can really put your hands on it and move it around. At this point in time it’s a little too painful for that.”  Henderson hurt the toes against Tennessee.  He will be replaced by David Herron, who had three tackles in place of E.J. during Sunday’s loss.  The team considered moving Ben Leber inside but has elected to let Herron play MLB against Reggie Bush and the high-powered Saints offense.

…and in response to “Nick” from the Tennessee blogs:

“E.J. stepped on some of the magic dust Jeff Fisher has been giving his players – which was the cause of his toe separation.”

There.  Done.  The Titans are awesome.  Never.
