Lions Holding Their Own

A game lots of people expected to be a blow-out is only 2-0 after the first quarter.  The Lions defense is playing well.  They’ve sacked Gus Frerotte three times – and Gus has looked a little gimpy too – and they forced Adrian Peterson to fumble.  The Vikes’ two points came when rookie QB Dan Orlovsky was chased out of bounds by Jared Allen.  Yup, Jared finally made a play – and he didn’t even have to touch the guy.  In all honesty, the Vikings should probably be up by 10 by now, but they keep kind of shooting themselves in the foot.  Hopefully they’ll settle down and get it together.
