Ryan Cook Sucks

Ryan Cook is getting undressed by the Lions.  He was personally responsible for at least one sack on Gus Frerotte and was just burned again on a 3rd down play that got stuffed.  The offensive line in general is having a terrible game.  Gus is getting pummeled and Adrian Peterson has found few holes to run through.  Now the Lions’ defense has tremendous confidence.  If this somehow leaks over to the offense…

I really can’t believe they can’t do better than Cook at that position.  His lack of blocking and holding made me physically ill today.  He’s got to go!

Chad, there is. My dear friends son, Sam Lightbody. 2nd team Pac-10, 6-9 325 lbs. Was a work in progress but the type of kid who will do just that. He got caught in the shuffle of OT’s at Tampa for 2 years. Told they wanted to keep him on resrve as all they needed to work on was run blocking. Unfortunately injuries forced the Bucs to cut him a day before the reg season.
Is he a pile of flab like Cook?  No! Sam is a nationally rated discuss thrower so he is not a unathletic blob.
After all the other scrubs they tried out at OT Lightbody would at least be able to step in and play if needed. He would have been way ahead of Cook in development at this stage.
He is a soft-spoken kid who got lost in the free agent shuffle but lasted to the final cut at TB both years. I am shocked no one picked him up as a project. He has Minn. roots and blue collar  work ethic to boot.
If any Vikings personel is reading, you have spent a lot of $ this year. You could do a lot worse than offering him a reasonable guarantee or reserve spot and polish this kid up. He was respected by a lot of Bucs players ncluding Todd Stussie, Kenyetta Walker and current Bucs OT Jeremy Trueblood who thought it would have been cool to play with him. Only setback is Sam is a natural rt. OT and had trouble on the left side. But, isn’t that where”Under Cooked” plays?
If your going to bring in OT’s from Poohdung St. why not bring in a guy who played against tough competition.
PS This kid can pass block and stick with a D end til the whistle blows.
PSS Chilly must go! 12-10 over the worst team in the league!!!
God Bless Gus. ut, this is the poorest coach offense in the NFL. My gosh, I can predict almost every play. Putting AP in a single back set should be no more than a decoy or outlet option on the pass. Not with Chilly and Bevell the Butthead-We’ll make em’ think we are going to pass but hand it to AP in those situations (rough guess)  80% of the time. Unreal.
And how bout throwing to Kleinsausser more. I don’t think he’ll get cold feet in the crowd. No big YAC yards but a sure handed TE when a short 1st down is need. What has he had 3 or 4 throws to him but don’t remember him dropping a sure thing.
This high school play book is making me puke
