Special Teams Meltdown

Two huge special teams gaffes by the Vikings have helped give the Bears a 24-17 lead with time ticking down in the first half.  Chris Kluwe fumbled a snap, leading to a blocked punt TD.  Then, a few minutes ago, Charles Gordon broke the cardinal rule of punt returning – not getting the hell away from a ball that’s bounced – and ended up touching the ball and giving the Bears a recovery for a touchdown.  Good teams find ways to win – and bad teams find ways to lose.  The Vikings are inventing new ways to lose…

And Gus Frerotte gets into the act by throwing a pick in the very next offensive series.  Things are going south fast.
