How D’Ya Like My Offense Now?
I had barely settled in with my bowl of warmed-up mac and cheese and the Vikings were already tearing down the field to score 7 on the Texans. A great playaction fake by Gus Frerotte gave Bernard Berrian separation and Gus…well, Gus threw it as far as he could and it was still underthrown, allowing two defenders to catch up with Bernard and almost make a play. Berrian snatched the dying ball away from both cover guys for a 50 yard reception. The Vikes then handed it to Adrian Peterson three times, resulting in a touchdown. Let’s hope this is just a taste of things to come.
