Turnover Battle

Posted by: danzinski

The Vikes lead 21-7 halfway through the second quarter, and turnovers have a lot to do with it.  A Chad Greenway sack on Matt Schaub, who’s gimpy after being hit low by Jared Allen, led to a Ben Leber recovery which led to a sweet Gus Frerotte throw to Bernard Berrian for a long TD.  A series before that, Antoine Winfield ended a Houston scoring threat by picking off a ducksnort of a Schaub pass.  The only Houston score came when a Frerotte pass bounced away from Berrian and was picked off for a return TD.  Expect the Vikes to go all-out rushing the passer with this nice lead.  Stat day for the defensive linemen.
