Allen Probably Out

It looks like Jared Allen is going to miss this Sunday’s game against the Packers.  Allen revealed today that he has a third-degree sprain in his right shoulder, the most severe sprain you can have short of your arm being completely ripped off.  Rumors have been circulating all week that the Vikings were mulling bringing in recently-released former Packer Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila to step in for Allen (and perhaps give some useful insights into the inner-workings of the Packer game-plan).  Personally, I think KGB is washed up, and the Vikes would be better served lining up Brian Robison at right end in Allen’s place.  Of course we are also still waiting to hear the fates of Allen’s D-linemates Pat Williams and Kevin Williams who face suspensions for taking pee-pee pills.
