Bad Injury

Charles Gordon was badly injured when getting his leg pinned awkwardly under him on a punt return.  It was such a gruesome injury that the FOX people refused to show the replay.  The wind just got sucked out of the Metrodome with the Vikes leading 12-7 after a bizarre sequence of plays that featured Aaron Rodgers trying to slap a ball forward out of the endzone after a fumble, leading to a safety, and Will Blackmon fielding a punt on the goal-line instead of letting it bounce for an easy touchback.

That just looked so bad live.  I barely remember seeing anyone with that much pain on their face after an injury.

And yet my morbid fool self wishes they’d shown the replay…

I hope they show the replay on espn, or on the net somewhere

that looked terrible.  His foot was facing behind him even when the defender was off him.  that brought back memories of Mcgahee’s injury.  Hope that doesn’t ruin his football career never like to see a player go out like that.  Hope everything works out for him and his family.

I had a big talk with one of my friends about this last night.  It’s something that you want to see, but as soon as you see it, you wish they didn’t show it.  The most gruesome I can think of is Shaun Livingston of the L.A. Clippers messing up his knee a few years ago, but they had replays of that one up.  This one must have been pretty bad.

Some other people have been talking about the way his foot looked.  I wasn’t looking at the TV so I missed it.
