Things got off to an amazingly good start for the Vikings. They stuffed the Packers on their first possession, then got a good punt return from Charles Gordon to set them up inside Green Bay territory. A solid drive highlighted by some tough Adrian Peterson running culminated in a zippy Gus Frerotte-to-Sidney Rice TD pass (all Rice does is catch touchdowns – almost literally). It looked like things would continue getting even better when the Vikes got all over Aaron Rodgers on the Packers’ next possession, sacking him twice and forcing another punt. Then the sudden turn – Frerotte tried to hit Bobby Wade on a crossing route but Charles Woodson ran in front of it, picking the pass off. The Packers proceeded to march in for the TD, making it 7-7.
