The regular big-boy media (and PFT) have been reporting for days that Tuesday, December 2 – that would be today – would see a decision on whether Kevin and Pat Williams will be suspended four games for taking a banned diuretic. The only word we’ve gotten so far today comes from owner Zygi Wilf who said the following on KFAN this morning (via the Pioneer-Press):
We presented our case. We’re very optimistic things will turn out the way we want.
Should the Williamses have their suspensions upheld, their only recourse would be to seek an injunction against the league. Or, I suppose they could weapon up and storm the league office and take everyone hostage. Might be a little over-the-top though. Plus there’s always the danger one of them might have a Plaxico moment and plug their own thigh.
